Weighted to the floor
The water washes over more
Ripping through the current
Taking us from shore
We thought we could bare
Flesh in water, out of air
We gasp for more
Sunk
Staying
Grounded
Fair
Like a siren your hair flairs
The dead do not need care
But an anchor at the bottom
The cornerstone of fear
The water and earth mix
At the bottom of this pond
Escape through the back levy
Routing minerals water bubbling round
We are whipped and thrown about
Steadfast and devote
You silence the World
With a muted shout
Knowing this river
Runs wild
Wind is blown
Back into your mouth
Like a gust sincere
Keeping you lifted, clear
Covered in aqueous transitory
And eternal fluid of ether
Embryo’s of life
Free floating, terrified, scared
Nervous system completed
Soul engendered sworn, sweared
The kiss that kills us all
Love is uttered
Whispers; dares.
