Hitched

I learn to remember what’s it’s like to read the future
from the past this present moment seems so near
visions form under eyelids pressed with a crystal
upon the third eye for good clarity and a glass
like feel of transparency. I see glimpses of
longing at the alter, the bridegroom the only thing
in the way of eternal happiness, for now, all is right.
The feast at the reception will quench the thirst
of the deal made, more, more, more. There is a lust
for serenity on the wedding day, both parties understand.
One must not try to live without the other for far too long
Only staying stagnant. Learning takes its place among the congregation.
