A judge witnessed the tragedy
Balancing both sides, forming no opinion
The words deadened the living
And spoke for the undead
Loved ones cried, displaced
Cracks laced with lawyer logic
Unbiased the judge balanced
Looking on harsh yet forgiving
Space between the dead ending
The opening of souls in the crowd
Witnesses themselves to grief’s pin
In the moment they tormented
The laughter learned from the dead
Did not answer a call
withdrawn it poured all
Remaining doubt about the sting of life
Being worse than life recalled.
