I still pray for you, I still give you my heart
To share myself, with you, what can I do
You cannot lead one to water without
Cooperation from two, turning away
When we hit the slope, that issued into
The sea, I rather jump in and loose you
If you decide to come too, I’ll know it is
You, chasing after me through waves
I’ll be at the open ocean, calm and waiting
For a ride back to shore, when I believe the
Sharks are circling or the jellyfish hoard is
Coming after me with more, stings, I'll watch
The sunrise or sunset or have it above me
Pounding light into my head the top door
To my heart. Salt water start and the up and down
Water around my heart sings, you know I’ll let you
Back in, if your board ever makes it this far, past
The waves, that ripped us apart, I had to keep
Swimming, I lost you in the parting, I lost you
Forever in my heart, if you are still on land
I’ll follow that mark, back home one day.
