Come and walk with me, my father said
I have much to teach you,
although you have already learned.
I now seek to show you why I created the stars
For you. Your younger siblings may one day ask
And I propose to show you, for them.
I made them for you, to hold light
In your soul, at every possible glimpse,
And remember me, one among the many.
Orion’s quiver may shake and show you
The heavens in motion, so you too one day
may sway life. If your soul does still stir
I have not left you, you have not been forgotten.
